They had nice floors and nice staff.
TV reception wasn't that great. Horrible area, but that's not really their fault.
Nice room / bed.
Landscaping maintenance poor. Lobby needs work, could have been neater.
I liked the manager, that's it. We couldn't find it and after 3 houra of driving around we called the manager and he was kind enough to come and find us at this place we ended up at after several attempts but just couldn't figure it out. We had cancelled the reservation simply because we couldn't find it. We went downtown to try and find one cose to Minute Maid Stadium where our concert was going to be that night but everything was all booked up. So we rebooked at the Western Inn and tried again to find it and still nothing. We followed the manager back to the place and our room was $6 more and it was a smoking room.
The remote control didn't work, there were stains on the sheets, the blanket had holes and cigarette burns in it. There was a porno station on the tv that we weren't aware of and good thing we didn't have kids with us. There was no coffee maker, hair dryer, or anything else you usually find at a hotel of that price. One corner of the shower was all coming apart and there wwere other places in the room that were in disrepair. Early in the morning, there were people screaming at each other that woke us up, then later on more yelling. Tjere was no room sergie or even a place to get something to eat. There was a coffe machine in the lobby but no decaff. It's probably one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. The manager was a very nice man though.
Very convenient. Good mini fridge and all that you need. I'm staying at the Houston Airport Marriott and they dont seem as friendly and they dont even have in room internet. Western Inn is a small in that may not be very luxurious, but they get the job done. The staff is friendly. Easy access to downtown too
A little too hidden, hard to get to. Not very close to any restaurants
The staff was nice and the room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. It had a large restroom and a nice shower.
The area was not the nicest. We heard a gunshot about a block or so from our room. The TV was older and the room did not have enough electric outlets.
It was cheap
No bathroom accessories such as shampoo or toothpaste. You have to bring your own if you're planning to stay the night. The television channels are pretty bad. I was flipping through channels and I randomly came across a porn channel. Not just a simple strip channel, but actual porn on actual public television. I gotta say, don't let your children have the remote because they can get curious.
The hotel was in a scary part of town. Looked run down and needed updating on the outside and in the lobby. A homeless looking person came out as I was coming in and told me to not stay there. She said the rooms were dirty and the staff wouldn't let her rent by the hour even though she had done it many times in the past. The was a pornagraphic station on the tv that was shocking even though you may only be clicking through the channels looking for something to watch. I will not ever stay there again.
Nothing completly bad next time i prefer I to pay more money than to stay there just nasty and unsafe
Women soliciting men just not a hotel for families at all. Don't be fooled by the pictures
The address googled was wrong and it was hard to find. When we almost gave up looking for it they wouldn't accommodate our desire to cancel.
I was stopping by to visit friends and to go out in downtown Houston. I booked last minute at the western inn because of its close proximity to downtown and because it fit my budget. I was very impressed by the friendly and courteous staff. Gloria was very accommodating at the front desk. I was surprised that my room had nice hardwood floors! Great value for the hotel room. I will definitely book here again if I visit Houston.
Kindness, Good facility
The manager and his staff are very friendly.
But the motel does not provide essential items for living such as shampoo.
I fact I reached hotel very late night due to flight delay. The receptionist was very kind and helped me to use her mobile to call to my relative at sfo. Very good Hospitality. The only problem is it is far off from Down Town.
Bad area, industry, not recommended for families with children
I liked the motel the staff was friendly the room was big and pretty
I wish it had elevators and cribs for infants but they dont I would still stay again
